Vacancy: Civil Court Solicitor

We are currently seeking to recruit a skilled Court Solicitor for the Inverness Civil Legal Assistance Office within our Client Legal Services Directorate.

Civil Court Solicitor (Grade 5 or 6) – CLAO Inverness
Full time; permanent
Application deadline: Tuesday 30 May, midnight

The successful candidate will:

  • Manage you own caseload, report to and assist the Head of Office
  • Provide appropriate, timely and independent advice and representation
  • Participate in rotas to provide a duty service and second tier advice to partner agencies
  • Support managers and less experienced staff to ensure the delivery of complex casework services across the network
  • Provide training, guidance, information and opinions internally as well as to partner organisations
  • Form effective links and referral mechanisms with solicitors in private practice and partner agencies
  • Contribute to policy development on delivery of civil legal assistance.
